Wow!...Just found this site and like so many of the other people that have signed your guestbook, the aquarius was also my 1st computer back in the early 80's. Used to love playing Tron and I seem to remember the the keyboard and joypad overlays to make gameplay easier!....

Oh my god i thought i would never see one of these again. We never had much money when i was growing up but i hassled my mum for ages for a ZX Spectrum but she could not afford one, so bought me the Aquarius instead, I was annoyed at first but loved it in the end as i learned Basic, Spectrum was really just gaming.I remember writing a digital clock with analog hands and an alarm for it it took weeks i think(it was long ago)(and if i remember correctly had to save to tape all the time)now my hobby is computers and have just enrolled in a university IT course 20 years Later LOL. Anyway thanks for this site brought back loads of good memories. Funny thing is i googled it on my phone today expecting no results HE HE !!(20 odd years ago who would have thought we would have computers in our pockets)

Well done for a great Aquarius site. I have a certain fondness for the little old Aquarius as it was the first computer I brought back in the 80's. It's good to see information on some of the rarer games. Regards, Gary

My first computer, back at 7 years old was an Aquarius. I am amazed to see so much information here on the machines. Just a few years ago, Internet searches for Mattel Aquarius yielded nothing.
Thanks for making this information available.

Long ago I began to make programs on a aquarius 4k. I'm a teacher and so I made my own educating programs for my class. In school we had C64's. With the "basicode-language" I made a lot of programms that were send by the radio in the Netherlands. You had to record them on cassettes. Those programms worked on any computer because there was a basicode-emulator for every kind of computer. I even contacted a citizen in the D.D.R. (then behind the iron curtain), who owned a KC-computer. He wrote that my programs were also used on his school (he was a teacher to).
That was the beginning of a long friendship!!! We gave each other programms by using the telephone. I was at home and he in a telephone-cell because he had no telephone at home. We tried it to send it in envelopes but often the tapes were erased. So we emailed already long before internet existed!
(Sorry for my poor English! I'm Dutch.)
